One of the guys at work got "laid-off" earlier this month.
This means that work automatically gets harder for me. They've been pushing all types of new work onto my lap.
Two weeks ago, i didn't have shit to do and now i'm getting 3 or 4 new tasks every week. If this keeps up, i might end up with more than i can handle.
The security of too much work is great... but i hope they hire someone really friggin' good to replace my ex-coworker.
Well... this morning, i had to rush to work so that i could meet a deadline. When i came down from my 3rd floor apartment, i was confronted by 3 inches of snow covering my car.
Since i live on Broad St., my road is the first one to get cleared off. The side-walk was covered in snow, but could see the black tar of the road, so i decided to ride my bike.
When i got to the area where the highway began, shit got bad. The road was packed with a thick layer of icy snow.
My 10 Speed handled everything surprisingly well. Combined with my cat like reflexes, i made the whole trek without falling once. It was like skiing on a bike...
That's where i park my bike every morning. It should be fun riding back home...
Oh. And while i'm posting here, i might as well put up a photo of a mostly-completed version of my un-named hydro robot.
I think he looks beautiful. I have to do a bit more detailing, but that's pretty much the idea. To get a name for this guy, i'm going to throw a going away party for him on Feb 20th. At this party, i'm going to have a list of suggested names from my guests.
So, i should have a name for him come Feb 21st.
